| BRIGHT FUTURE WON BY 8 WKTS |
Bright Future played their second last game of the Round 1 of ACC 2007 Day Tournament against Players. The game was reduced to 25 OVERS because of the delay caused by damp runner up. The match summary above pretty much tells the story of concentrated captaincy from the beginning. BFCC won the toss and elected to field first. Mirza Mohammad and Fahad Bin Aziz opened the attack. The Players's openers kept 7 rpo score average. courtesy of poor bowling run up causing big extras (30 in first 10 Overs). Omer Khan brought bowling changes throughout the innings and never let Players' batsmen used to any single bowler. Zohaib Khan bowled 2-23 with Arif Hockla restricting to just 1-16 in 4 overs. The highlight of the BFCC bowling were couple of fast run outs and Haris Bin Aziz's 2-05 at the end of the innings (Haris is on a hattrick). Players were restricted to just 126 (Bright Future were penalized 5 runs)
Bright Future had an easy target at hand but knowing it could turn into a difficult one at any time, sent Waseem Khan (45) and Fahad Bin Aziz (39) who got on to a good start from the beginning. Waseem was not completely fit due to some back pain and left hand wrist problems focused on rotating the strike and not doing his trademark quick running between the wickets. Players dropped some easy catches and it looked as if BFCC is on track for 10 wicket victory but Fahad finally got caught out at 39. Next batsman was Waseem Khan who mis placed the shot to get C&B by Saad at 45. Sultan Khan (12) and Abid Jamal finished the innings in 20th Over.
Bright Future will be playing their final match of the season against long time rivals, Chaparrals, whom they beat in ACC 2006 Quarter Finals on Saturday August 18 1:30pm on GH1. Bright Future wish the best of luck to Chaps. 8/7/2007

| BRIGHT FUTURE WON BY 5 RUNS | Bright Future have won because of their batting, or their tight bowling, but this game's victory is attributed to their superb fielding. Bright Future played against Cougars, their longtime rivals, on Saturday August 4, 07 in the morning at GH2. Bright Future won the toss and elected to bat first. Omer Khan (7) and Fahad Aziz (11) went to open. Omer fell in the very first over by Ghani. Umair Khan (19) showed calm and ease and protected one end through half the innings. Fahad got caught by a good catch by Danish. Waseem Khan (52) once again proved to put a somewhat decent score on the board for Bright Future. No one else except Aamir Ansari (17) scored worth mentioning and Bright Future were all out for 146.
Cougars who have been successful in chasing totals like 192 with ease had an easy target at hand. On the other hand Bright Future not used to defending such target successfully needed to pull something new out the hat. In this case it was their spirited team effort and superb fielding. Worth mentioning were Faisal Ishaque who took 2 wonderful catches. Umair Khan took Airaj’s crucial catch on the boundary on Zohaib Khan’s delivery. Omer Khan runout Amjed Shafique. Aamir Ansari runout Imran Khan. Fahad Aziz took superb catch of Nitin on Arif H.’s delivery at square leg. Undoubtedly one of the best fielding from Bright Future.Bright Future continued their on slaughter of the best teams in Division 1. It’s a different thing that we got to focus as much on so called “easy” matches because there is no such thing in Division 1.
Bright Future will play Players, the only other team so far who beat Cougars, this weekend.Go Bright Future!!! 7/10/2007

| BRIGHT FUTURE WON BY 6 WICKETS |
Bright Future faced 2005 Day & Night Champions second time on Sunday July 8, 07 at Carol Stream ground. Last time Bright Future faced them, it was in a 2006-Day Semi-Final when Windy City scored 176/10 in 28 overs and Bright Future chased that in 24th over. Not a whole lot changed yesterday because Bright Future after having won the toss elected to field first. Mohammad Mirza missed out since bring out of town so Bright Future had to really work hard to put the same kind of pressure we did in our last game against Villa Park. Fahad Bin Aziz (6|1|15|0) and Waseem Khan (6|0|19|2) did just that. Waseem proved lethal on his second over when Asif Ali tried to go over mid-on and Owais Badla took a brilliant catch. 1 ball later, Waseem did the trick again when Harun Ajmeri chased the delivery outside the off-stump and Arif Hockla took a comfortable catch behind the stumps. Windy City were in deep trouble but it just got worse when again in 4th over Arif Malick got run-out by a direct throw by Owais and now Windy City were 3 down for just 6 runs. Mir Ali (14) and Qasim Khan (57) came in to save the day. Mir started off extremely cautious and apparently under a lot of pressure where Qasim kept the run-rate crawling. It was no doubt a remarkable effort by both the opening bowlers who restricted Windy City to 34 in 12 overs with 3 wickets down. Owais Badla (5|0|30|2) and Amir Khan (6|0|34|0) followed the foot-steps of the attackers and maintained the pressure. Owais Badla, who frustrated Taha to get his bowled last week, was effective in his tight line and length and bowled Mir. Vishan Subasinghe (27) and Qasim provided much needed boost to the run-rate. Windy City scored 100 in 22nd over. The way Bright Future were bowling, it didn't appear Windy City would cross 150 mark but couple of very useful overs provided the relief. Haris Bin Aziz (4|0|31|1) as usual bowled sensibly and also caught Vishan to break the dangerous partnership of 74 runs between Vishan and Qasim. Hashim Raza (24) didn't take much time to get settle and took advantage any loose delivery. Imran Shaikh took a great catch at short mid-wicket to end Qasim's wonderful innings of 57 that included a towering six at the straight boundary. Aijaz Baig (11) replaced Qasim and scored one huge mid-wicket six. Windy City scored 169-7 in 30 Overs.
Bright Future needed the same kind of partnership that the Khans provided against Villa Park but Omer Khan pulled his muscle and couldn't bat as an opener so decided to gamble with Waseem Khan (21) and Arif Hockla (51) as an opening pair. Well it was his lucky day because both Waseem and Arif kept the run-rate well above 10 rpo. Both Qasim Khan (5|0|44|1) and Hashim Raza (5|1|33|2) couldn't provide any break in the first spell. But what a joy could be seen on the ground when on the fifth over Mir brought Harun Ajmeri (2|0|22|1) who got Waseem caught behind the stumps and rejuvenated entire Windy City. Arif Mahmood (26) came in to give the stand and along with Arif Hockla built a very sensible 62 runs partnership. The game seemed slipped away from Windy City even further when Haris Bin Aziz (29*) played his trade mark shots to the covers and brave pull shots to the fine-legs. Arif Hockla scored his maiden half century. Omer Khan (17) didn't miss the fun either and scored two huge sixes. Bright Future met the target in 25th over and scored another decisive victory against Windy City.
Arif Hockla is given the man of the match award for scoring 51. Waseem Khan is the best bowler for 2-19 in 6 overs and Owais Badla received best bowler recognition for a great catch and a terrific run-out. 6/29/2007
